itself is a dreadful experience but there is something greater to it. - the defense. A thesis defense is an event in the academe that has been considered as "hell" for most students. However, this event’s main purpose is not to torture anyone, but to show everyone how well students have done in the process of research study and the preparation of the thesis.
* Be the most knowledgeable person during the defense.
* Try to attend one or more defenses prior to ones’ own.
* At the defense keep focused on the interactions that occur.
* Find opportunities to discuss the dissertation thesis with friends and colleagues.
* Don't be defensive during the defense. It may sound ironic but is efficient most of the time.
